Chalet Monachil
Accommodation between Granada &Sierra Nevada

Our Location

Chalet Monachil is situated at the foot of the national park of Sierra Nevada, just two kilometres from the historical city of Granada, 35 minutes from the ski resort and 50 minutes from the Costa Tropical, Granada's spectacular rugged coast line, which enjoys a sub-tropical climate. The town of Órgiva in the Sierra Alpujarra, home of the author Chris Stewart (Driving Over Lemons), is also within easy reach.

The Chalet itself is one of six houses in a small tranquil cul-de-sac in Monachil, whose picturesque town centre is just a few minutes bus or car ride away. The small towns of Cájar and Húetor Vega, as well as typical restaurants and supermarkets are all within walking distance of the Chalet. The local bus stop for Granada centre is a minute's walk away and its use is highly recommended for visiting Granada because, as in most ancient cities, parking is often complicated.

How to get to Chalet Monachil:

By car - Once in Granada you follow the Ronda Sur (city by-pass) in the direction of Sierra Nevada, leaving at Exit 2 to Monachil. Follow the road signs to Monachil and once you have past the first set of traffic lights, Chalet Monachil is the first turning on the left; Calle Luna number 1. Our entrance is just past a popular restaurant called 'El Cateto.' The house is opposite the Toy Box infant school

Granada is easy accessed by train, bus and aeroplane, the airport is just 25 minutes away from Monachil.
